Dr. Andrea Salfinger is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. Her research focuses on the engineering of computational situation assessment systems to support human control center operators in maintaining situation awareness, which she has studied in the application domains of road traffic control and crisis management. Her research interests particularly include modeling and tracking of evolving situations, supporting knowledge management in situation assessment systems, and extracting situational update information from social media. |
